Terms of Use

1. Who can use Vetta

• You must be 13 or older. We ask for your birth year right after you sign in. If it shows you are under 13, the account is deleted.
• If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
• Vetta is offered in the United States and Turkey.
• You may not use Vetta if we have previously removed your account for breaking these terms.

2. Your account

• One account per person. Give us a real name and a working email.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your phone locked.
• Leagues are private and invite-only. Share your invite code only with people you want in your league.

3. Fair play

• A proof photo must be taken with Vetta's camera, of your own workout, that day. No screenshots, no old photos, no photos of someone else training.
• Every workout needs a proof photo, including the second one on a Double day. A check-in without a photo from Vetta's camera does not count. An Apple Health workout you link must be your own.
• Any league member can contest a check-in by opening a Case. The Judge, an outside AI, asks the member up to three questions in the league thread and rules Cleared, Struck or Not proven. A question left unanswered for 24 hours closes the case as Struck. Struck means that check-in stops scoring in the league and counts as a strike on your row for the season; verdicts affect nothing outside the league. Case rights are limited per member per week.
• League owners can remove members from their league. We may void results, remove points or close leagues where we find cheating.
• Do not try to break, spam or abuse Vetta's systems, or to access other people's data.

4. Community rules

Vetta is a place to compete with friends, not to hurt anyone. Photos, messages, names, handles and case answers may not contain:

• harassment, bullying, threats or hate toward anyone;
• nudity or sexual content;
• violence, self-harm content, or anything illegal;
• spam, scams or impersonation;
• other people's private information, or photos of people who did not agree to appear in Vetta.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that is reported or flagged is reviewed by a person and, if it breaks these rules, removed within 24 hours, and the member responsible may be removed from Vetta. Every member can report any content or member and block any member from inside the app; blocking is mutual. Chat messages from members under 16 are also screened automatically and may be hidden. Messages from older members may be checked for sexual content, hate slurs and threats too, only while the chat says so.

5. Your content

• Your photos, messages and answers stay yours.
• By posting them you let us store them, show them to the members of your league, and process them as the Privacy Policy describes, including case judging (with your photo only if you allowed it) and chat screening (for members under 16, and for older members only while the narrower check is on).
• Proof photos are deleted within 7 days. Reported content may be kept longer so we can act on the report.
• We may remove content that breaks these terms without notice.

6. Coins

• Coins are Vetta's virtual currency. You earn them by playing: a welcome grant, rewards for logged days, weekly wins, perfect weeks, streak levels and answered pokes, and season payouts. Coins cannot be bought in this version.
• Coins have no cash value. They cannot be cashed out, withdrawn, transferred to another member, sold, traded, or exchanged for money or anything of monetary value, inside or outside Vetta.
• Coins never buy points, standings or verdicts. League results come only from the league's rules: workouts proved with a photo, daily steps where the league plays Steps, and the freezes and bonuses those rules give.
• No purchase is necessary to play. Free leagues exist, and coins are granted for activity.
• When a league has an entry, each member's entry coins go into the season pot. At the end of the season the pot is split in coins among the top finishers by the shares shown when the league is created (with two members 70/30, with three 55/30/15, with four or more 50/28/14). In leagues of four or more, 8% of the pot is retired before the split and paid to nobody. Tied places share their coins equally.
• We may change how coins are earned and what they buy. Coins are forfeited if your account is closed for breaking these terms, and are deleted when you delete your account.

7. Purchases and Vetta Plus

• Vetta currently sells nothing. There are no coin packs on sale and no subscription, and nothing in the app can charge you.
• Vetta Plus is on for every member during our founding season, at no charge. We will tell you in the app at least 14 days before that ends.
• Purchases may come later. If they do, we will update these terms first, and the price and terms (renewal and cancellation for a subscription) will be shown before you confirm. Nobody is charged unless they choose to buy.

8. Leagues are not contests for prizes

• A Vetta league is a game of activity among friends. There is no element of chance, no cash prize and no prize of monetary value. Standings are decided only by the league's rules, never by coins or purchases.
• Apple is not a sponsor of, or involved in, any contest or league in Vetta.

9. Health and safety

• Vetta is a game, not medical advice. It does not know your health.
• Talk to a professional before starting a training routine, and stop if something hurts. You train at your own risk.
• Take proof photos safely: not while driving, cycling or in someone else's private space.

10. Ending your account

• You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account (the gear on the You tab). The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data.
• We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, cheat, or put other members at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why.
• Leagues you own pass to the longest-standing member when you leave.

11. What we promise, and what we don't

• We work to keep Vetta up and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or that the AI will always be right. Case verdicts are made by an outside AI and can be wrong; they only affect a game.
• Vetta is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data, or lost coins, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
• Nothing here limits rights the law gives you that cannot be limited.

12. Apple

• Vetta is distributed through the App Store. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your download of the app. Where these terms and Apple's disagree, Apple's govern the download and Apple's obligations.
• Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Vetta and is not responsible for the app, its content, or any claim about it. Apple may enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey and the United States. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in New Jersey, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Either side may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court instead. If you live in Turkey, the mandatory consumer protections of Turkish law still apply to you.

14. Changes and contact

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Vetta after that means you accept the new terms. Questions: support@joinvetta.app.
